Specialized Memory Loss Programs

The Community Family offers adults with memory loss specialized adult day health programs at our Medford and Lowell Centers. We pioneered this specialized care more than 30 years ago. Our services extend to include the respite, support and education we provide to family members.

Our Specialized Memory Loss Adult Day Health Programs are the best choice for families coping with Alzheimer's disease or other conditions causing memory loss. Early enrollment in these programs can maintain skills and functioning. Most families tell us that they wish they had enrolled at The Community Family earlier.

Our Memory Loss Programs emphasize failure-free activities, sensory experiences, and other activities that accentuate abilities and enhance self-esteem. Our safe and supportive environment allows participants to maintain full and dignified lives.

Our Dedicated Staff understands what you are going through. We know that caring for someone with memory loss is a loving and challenging commitment. We are here to help and support you on your journey.

The Community Family's Memory Loss Centers are designed with:

  • A combination of large sun-filled activity rooms and private quiet spaces;
  • Safe and secure indoor and outdoor areas;
  • Personal care areas with bathing facilities;
  • Lighting that decreases perceptual difficulties.

The benefits of our specialized memory loss care include an improved sense of well-being, diminished depression, improved health status, reduced cognitive decline and prevention of caregiver burnout.

What People say

"I live in elderly housing, but I was going crazy just sitting all day. I don’t know what I would do without The Community Family’s Everett Center. The people, the staff, the company . . . it gives me something to do and keeps me happy."

"Our initial visit to The Community Family impressed us - there were dedicated, caring professional staff including skilled nurses for medical needs. Days were filled with arts and crafts, bingo, gardening, music, dancing, wholesome meals and most importantly - a homelike environment where we knew Dad would be safe and cared for as if he was family"
