Board of Directors

The Community Family is an independent, non-profit organization governed by a 9-person Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is composed of community leaders, health care professionals, business leaders, social service providers and consumers of care. The Board of Directors at The Community Family is deeply invested in the organization, offering strong support and guidance. They provide close oversight of the organization’s finances and have enabled us to remain financially stable in times of economic uncertainty, including the past several years.

ANNE M. MARCHETTA, MSW, Executive Director, Program Director, Everett and Medford Centers

Anne Marchetta has worked in the field of community-based elder services for more than 30 years, including the past 17 years as Executive Director of The Community Family. With The Community Family, her accomplishments include overseeing the construction of new buildings at the Lowell and Everett locations, as well as the major renovations at the third center in Medford. She has steered TCF through a very tenuous time in the adult day health industry while maintaining a stable, fiscally sound organization. TCF currently has 275 participants at its three locations. She is currently spearheading TCF’s strategic planning efforts in preparation for the myriad changes that are looming in healthcare. Anne is also very active in advocacy activities on local and state levels pertaining to her field of work. This includes testifying at legislative hearings, inviting legislators to the centers and preparing written testimony on issues affecting elder care. She is the former president of the Massachusetts Adult Day Service Association and a former adjunct faculty member at Boston College’s Graduate School of Social Work, where she received her own Master’s Degree.

MARION DUNN, RN, Clinical Director, Everett Center
Marion has worked as a nurse at The Everett Center for 14 years, including the past 10 years as Program Director/Clinical Director. She helped oversee the seamless - and exciting - transition to the new Everett center location in 2010 and has kept the center busy, active and vibrant in the years since. Marion has an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare system, including geriatric, rehab and community-based services. She was a Staff Nurse and Nurse Manager at TCF before her promotion to Program Director. Her previous experience includes as an OR nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

SUSAN KELLY, RN, Clinical Director, Medford Center
Susan has worked at the Medford Center for 11 years. She served as staff nurse for five years until assuming leadership as Program Director/Clinical Director in 2011. Previously, she spent many years working at Sancta Maria skilled nursing facility and Youville Hospital. Susan is a long-time resident of Medford and has a wonderful understanding and rapport with the participants at the Medford Center.

HEATHER BETTY, SW, Program Director/Social Worker, Lowell Center
Heather has worked for The Community Family at the Lowell Center since 2012. She first worked for TCF as the Social Worker and assumed the title of Program Director in 2014. For the past three years, she has stayed very busy in her dual duties as both Program Director and Social Worker, including overseeing the transition of D'Youville Life and Wellness' Adult Day Health clients to TCF in 2017.
